This is a place for people of all ages who like to join family and friends for sports and cultural activities. A 3.5 kilometer promenade will delight walkers, in-line skaters, and cyclists. In winter, ice skaters can enjoy a 1.3 kilometre ice path.
Walkers will discover the delightful art that enhances the promenade. Michel Goulet's “Nulle part / Ailleurs” (“Nowhere/Elsewhere”) is truly a user-friendly work of art: one may admire it, relax on it, or do a little reading or chatting on it! A second important piece of art is Chavignier's “Vaisseau lunaire” (“Moonship”), which is being displayed for the first time since it was dismantled after its appearance at Montreal's Expo '67.
Discover the Marché de la Gare, featuring an indoor area with four specialty food businesses, and every Saturday, during the summer months, an outdoor farmers' market, displaying fresh, top-quality products, grown or prepared by local folk. Talk with the producers, taste healthy foods, and discover the good taste of the Eastern Townships in every bite.

A lively place!
Outside the Marché, enjoy entertainment and activities all year long, both cultural and sports-related. An animated atmosphere, right in the heart of Sherbrooke.
Inside the Marché, discover the history of this heritage site through an exhibit about the evolution of the Canadian Pacific station and its transformation into a public market. Learn about important figures, such as the king and queen of England, George Vl and Elizabeth, who stopped at the CP station in the summer of 1939, or Canadian Prime Minister Mackenzie King, who, on his way to the Maritime provinces by CP train in 1945, made a brief stop at the Sherbrooke station. As of June, the works of visual artist Isabelle Gilbert will provide a good occasion to grasp the past and the present of this special environment through a beautiful light show. The history of Sherbrooke… for your enjoyment.
