Sherbrooke's Great Artistic Event

The Pierre-Gobeil Cultural Center will display a collective exhibit of the artists' works during th e entire event. Maps detailing the location of the studios will allow you to plan your tour, meet and chat with the artists and artisans and admire their creations in person. Maps will be available at the Sherbrooke Tourist Information Bureau, at other Eastern Townships Tourist Information bureaus, at the Rock Forest Cultural Center, and at various Quebec hotels. Free admission.
At this 29th edition of the Fête du Lac and 12th edition of the fireworks competition, 5 pyrotechnic companies representing various provinces vie for the Coupe des Dieux trophy. Four stages offer over 24 shows over a 6-day period and feature world music, jazz and well-known artists from Quebec as well as the international scene, such as The Beach Boys, Thursday July 16, starting 10 p.m. Entertainment, shows for children, midway rides, artisan stands. Activities for one and all, from noon to midnight daily.
More than 80 dogs and their trainers from the world over participate in this unique event showcasing the talents and intelligence of sheepdogs. An entertaining event for all animal lovers.
The best professional canoers from Québec, Ontario, the Maritimes and the eastern United-States confront each other in this canoe race. Between 25 and 30 boats sail the waters of the Corridor Bleu between Sherbrooke and Magog on a course covering more than 30 km. The Canadian Tire Canoe takes places during the Memphremagog International Swim Competition.
