Sherbrooke, Cité des rivières presents regional singing groups, street theatre and festive music.
The Sherbrooke Symphony Orchestra (OSS), the third oldest orchestra in the province of Québec, after Montreal's and Québec City's, is considered by the Canada Council for the Arts to be one of the best regional Canadian orchestras. In 2005, the Eastern Township's Awards Gala bestowed the OSS with the award for best non-profit organization of the year. The unique and cordial manner of the chef d'orchestre Stéphane Laforest and the quality of the talented musicians make every OSS performance shine. Sherbrooke's Symphony Orchestra has been entertaining music-lovers in the Eastern Township's region for 70 years; now's the time for you to discover the pleasures of the OSS's music!
